We, the family of the late Mary Connolly (nee McKinney), 10 Meadow Close, Newtownstewart, would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all our kind relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues who supported us during our recent loss of our much loved Wife, Mother, Mother-in-Law, Granny, Great Granny, Sister and Aunt.

We would like to thank all those who attended the wake and funeral, those who telephoned, sent Mass Cards, Sympathy Cards, text messages, social media condolences, wreaths and floral tributes.

Grateful appreciation to all the relatives, friends and neighbours who brought food and provided traffic management and to the Staff and Pupils of Loreto Grammar School, Omagh who provided the Guard of Honour.

A special word of thanks to everyone who helped care for Mary – Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, doctors and nurses at Emergency Department and Ward 24, Altnagelvin Hospital and the hospital chaplains for their spiritual support to Mum and family, doctors and staff at Newtownstewart Medical Centre, Community Nursing Team, staff at Bradley’s Pharmacy, Newtownstewart. Heartfelt thanks to the many staff of Glen Caring Services who looked after Mary with great care, dignity and respect.

Our sincere gratitude to Fr Roland Colhoun for his spiritual support and guidance and for celebrating Mary’s beautiful Requiem Mass, also special thanks to Fr Eugene Hasson PP Omagh for attendance at our home and their ongoing support. Thanks also to Bernie Maguire and Mickey McGurk for providing the beautiful music.

We would sincerely like to thank Charlie Lynch, (Funeral Director) and Paddy Logue for the efficient, dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements during this difficult time and to the grave digger for preparing Mary’s final place of rest.

A final word of thanks to Briege and team, St Eugenes Parochial Hall for providing refreshments after the funeral.

As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Mary is loved and missed every day, may her gentle soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 10th September 2023 at 11:30am in St. Eugene’s Church, Glenock.
