The family of the late Mary McElholm (nee Barrett) wish to express our sincere appreciation to all those who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement.

We would like to thank everyone who attended the wake and funeral, and those who generously brought food and helped at the wake. Thank-you also to everyone who sent Mass/sympathy cards, flowers, and messages. We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to our relations, friends and neighbours who visited and supported us throughout Mum’s illness and during the wake and funeral. Thank you for your unwavering love and support.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Peter O’Kane CC for his support during the wake and for his beautiful eulogy during the requiem Mass, and Fr. Eugene Hassan PP for visiting regularly during Mum’s final days and during the wake. Thanks also to Mum’s cousin, Fr. Brian O’Kane SMA, and our family friends, Fr. Cathal McKenna SMA and Fr. Joe Gormley PP for concelebrating the Mass. For the beautiful music, we thank our cousins, Niall and Seána McCann. Furthermore, we would like to extend our appreciation to Sacred Heart College and Drumragh Integrated College for providing the guard of honour.

Thanks to O’Kane’s Funeral Directors for their dignified and professional service in planning Mum’s funeral; to the gravediggers for preparing Mum’s final resting place; and to GM Canopies for supplying the canopies. We are extremely grateful to Drumragh Sarsfields GAC for the use of their clubrooms and for the lovely food supplied by Farley’s of Beragh.

Throughout Mum’s illness, the compassionate care she received was exceptional, and for this we would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Three Spires Surgery, Omagh; and all hospital and district nurses, as well as the community teams from Western Trust who helped to make Mum's final years comfortable. Thanks also to the Marie Curie nurses for the exceptional care provided and to Mum’s OT Michele McHugh. To Kevin Kelly and the staff at Kelly’s Chemist, thank you for the years of outstanding service provided to Mum.

Finally, our sincere gratitude goes to the dedicated carers from Glen Caring, Lakeland and CarePlus, who devotedly looked after Mum throughout the final years of her life.

As it is impossible to thank everyone, we trust this acknowledgment will cover our family’s sincere gratitude to everyone who has supported and assisted us throughout Mum’s illness. We are forever indebted to you all for the care and compassion you have afforded to us over the last few years

Mary’s month mind mass will take place at 7.30pm on Monday 12th September 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, Omagh. Our blessed Lady and the Sacred Heart of Jesus pray for her.
