The death has occurred of:
Mary McGuckin
We, the family of Mary McGuckin (Magherafelt, formerly Kinturk) wish to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all who sympathised with us on the recent loss of our beloved Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother & Great Grandmother on 16th July 2025.
We would like to thank everyone who attended the wake, funeral and burial. To those who brought or sent mass cards and sympathy cards, called, sent messages, brought food or floral tributes or helped in any way at the wake, please accept our sincere gratitude.
We are deeply thankful to Fr. Gates for his compassionate presence throughout the wake and for delivering a heartfelt Requiem Mass. We would also like to thank Fr. Tremer for his kind words and prayers at mum’s burial. We truly appreciate the kindness, compassion and support shown to us all by both Fr. Gates & Fr. Tremer.
A special word of thanks goes to everyone who assisted with or participated in the Requiem Mass, especially Carole Shivers for the beautiful music.
Our gratitude also extends to the NIAS and the staff at Antrim Area Hospital for their invaluable assistance with mum’s initial admission to hospital.
We will be eternal grateful to the Royal Victoria Hospital, particularly to the staff of Wards 4C & 4D for their unwavering support, kindness and care during mum’s final days. She was cared for with professionalism and dignity to the end. We would also like to thank the Hospital Chaplains for attending to mum’s spiritual needs and for their kind words and blessings.
A word of thanks also goes to all at Garden Street Surgery for their years of dedicated care, home visits and constant support.
To both O’Brien’s and McLaughlin’s pharmacies, we would like to thank them for their outstanding service over the years.
To the District Nurses, we would like to express our gratitude and thanks to each and everyone of them for their unwavering dedication and compassion.
We would like to thank Camillus and staff at Kinturk Cultural Centre for providing the refreshments following the funeral and for their warm hospitality.
As a family, we would like to finally thank Conan and staff at Lavery’s Funeral Directors for their professionalism, compassion and the dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements, along with the grave diggers who prepared mum’s final resting place.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere token of our appreciation and gratitude for the kindness and support we have received over these past few weeks.
-Forever in our thoughts, forever in our hearts -
