The death has occurred of:
Maureen Kearney (née McKenna)
We, the family of the late Maureen Kearney wish to express our deep appreciation and sincere thanks for the support shown following the loss of our devoted and dearly missed wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother.
Words cannot adequately express our heartfelt thanks to extended family, friends, neighbours and community who sympathised and helped during this difficult time. Sincere gratitude is offered to all who attended the wake, funeral and sent cards and letters of condolences.
Special thanks to Michael who kindly provided the use of his field for parking facilities during the wake. To Anna, who was a refreshing and comforting support to Maureen and all the family in recent times. We are truly grateful to Anne, Brigid, Joanne, Mickey, Aidan and Mark for their help in preparation for the wake. We thank the Harley and McGillion families for the use of their equipment. Thank you to the ladies and men of Glenelly St. Joseph’s GFC who, for the duration of the wake organised and facilitated, seating, refreshments and carparking. Thank you also to all those who brought food to the wake.
A special word of thanks to all past and present members of the club for the guard of honour at the funeral. The sea of blue at the church was overwhelming to behold and reminded us of the huge support and comfort we are so fortunate to have.
Sincere thanks to WJ O’Brien and Son Ltd, Funeral Directors for their compassion and professionalism in leading the funeral arrangements and to the grave diggers for preparing the grave.
Deepest appreciation to Fr. Donnelly for his spiritual support over this difficult time and his consoling words at the requiem mass. Many thanks to Leesa and Geraldine for the beautiful music and to the sacristan, Christine. Thank you to all who provided refreshments after the funeral mass.
Thank you to the staff of Sperrin Family practice for their support and understanding.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.
The month’s mind Mass for Maureen will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Church Plumbridge on Friday 8th September at 8pm.
“It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.”
