The death has occurred of:
Maureen WILSON
The sisters, nieces and nephews of the late Maureen Wilson wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who supported and sympathised with us during our recent sad bereavement. A sincere thanks to all those who attended the wake and funeral, sent mass cards, sympathy cards, letters of sympathy, telephoned, sent floral tributes, gave donations to Ward 24 at Altnagelvin Hospital, watched the funeral online, brought gifts and to all who helped at the wake. Thanks also to those who travelled a long distance and to family members who sat with Maureen during her final days.
A special word of thanks to Fr. Canny for his comforting prayers, spiritual support and also for celebrating requiem mass. Thanks also to Deacon Stephen Ward who assisted at the mass and presided at the graveside. Thank you to Fr. Lagan and Fr. McFaul for their prayers. Thanks to Denise and Aidan who provided the music; to the readers and gift bearers; and to anyone else who helped at the mass.
Thank you to Dr Casey and Eglinton Health Centre for their unfailing assistance during Maureen’s illness. To the management and staff of Templemoyle Nursing Home who saw to Maureen’s needs; and, to the care team of A&E and Ward 24 at Altnagelvin Hospital for their great kindness and compassion during Maureen’s final weeks. Thanks to Anne Marie her social worker and to her carers in the earlier part of her illness.
A special word of thanks to her neighbour Mary whose help and dedication was so greatly appreciated over the years.
We would like to thank Kieran O’Brien and staff for their courteous and dignified funeral arrangements. Thanks to Felim Curran and staff for providing the refreshments and also thanks for the loan of St Patrick’s Hall tearoom. Thanks also to the grave diggers who prepared Maureen’s final resting place.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we trust acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.
Maureen’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Trench Road, on Saturday 25th February at 6pm.
