May DOHERTY

The family of the late May Doherty would like to extend their sincere gratitude and appreciation to all of those who shared in their recent bereavement in the passing of a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

Thanks to those who called at the house, brought mass and sympathy cards and sent messages of support to the family.

Thanks to our relatives, friends, neighbours and local businesses who brought food and helped throughout the wake in any way and to all who attended the funeral or watched the live stream.

To Fr. Sean O’Donnell and Fr. Michael Doherty for their support during her illness and our sincere gratitude is extended to Fr Sean for the funeral mass. Your prayers and thoughtful words were a source of comfort to us all as they truly reflected the person May was.

To Charles Lynch and staff at Charles Lynch funeral directors, who carried out their duties with such professionalism and care, and to Con for preparing the grave. To Carrai Diver for the wonderful music at the church, and to The Fir Trees hotel for the wonderful meal provided after the service.

A special word of thanks to the many wonderful carers and teams involved in the care of May in the preceding months, including the doctors and nurses of Riverside practice and Rapid Response teams. Their dedication, kindness, compassion and exceptional care will always be remembered.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgment conveys our family’s heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to everyone for their kindness, help and support at this time.

May’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s church. Melmount on Sunday 10th May at 11.30am.
