The death has occurred of:
Michael Mc HUGH
Michael's parents, Mairead and Kevin; his sisters, Emer, Niamh, and Fionnuala; his partner, Jade; his two sons, Micheal and Braidan; and his brothers-in-law, wish to extend our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who offered their condolences and support during our recent bereavement following Michael's tragic death.
Thanks to everyone who came to the hospital, called at the house, sent Mass and sympathy cards, telephoned, sent wreaths and flowers.
We are grateful to family, special neighbours, and friends who were by our side in the Critical Care Unit, who helped at the wake, and who generously gifted food.
Gratitude to the Critical Care Unit staff in the South West Acute Hospital who gave Michael loving care and attention in his final days, and to the members of the Specialist Nurses Organ Donation Team for their guidance and support.
Our appreciation to our Parish Priest Fr Paul Fraser for his unending support in our devastating journey and whose powerful words moved so many. A special word of thanks also to Fr John Gilmore, Fr Peter Madden, Fr Peter Mc Cawille, Fr Patsy Arkinson and Monsignor Dolan who visited the hospital and celebrated Michael's Requiem Mass.
Thank you to the two sacristans in St Patrick’s Church – Veronica and Danny Dolan for all their help and to Rois Kelly – Lynch for the beautiful singing and music.
Sincere thanks to Charlie Lynch, Funeral Director for his kindness, care and attention to detail and such professionalism. Thanks to his wife Anne and Gerard for their assistance. Gratitude to Paul Lynch for providing transport from St. Davog's GAA Centre to our home during Michael's wake.
To Patrick McSorley and all the catering team in St. Davog’s GAA Centre for providing refreshments after Michael’s funeral, we thank you.
Thank you to all those who travelled from America, England and across Ireland to be with us for Michael's wake and funeral.
We owe a special debt of gratitude to Anne-Marie Dolan for her constant and ongoing support to us as a family during difficult times.
A kind word of recognition to Anna Logue and family for their support of Michael throughout his life, and to Scotty, Michael's friend and mentor for the last number of years.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere gratitude.
Michael’s Month’s Mind Mass will be held on Saturday 30th Aug at 7:30pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Aghyaran, with refreshments to follow in St. Davog’s G.A.A. Centre.
