Michael McGurk
Dunamore
The family of the late Michael McGurk wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent bereavement. Thank you to those who called to the house, left food, telephoned, sent Mass or sympathy cards, wrote touching letters, made donations in lieu of flowers (donations may still be made directly to family), gave flowers and those who left messages via social media.

We took great comfort from the support of friends and neighbours who lined the funeral cortège route and for the guard of honour from District Nursing colleagues of Michael’s daughter, you all touched our hearts.

A special word of thanks to Fr Paddy Hughes for the beautiful funeral mass and to Patrick Slevin for the lovely music. Sincere thanks to Kieran Kirk Funeral Director for all his assistance in carrying out Michael’s wish regarding his final journey to his place of rest and for the professional and dignified manner in which Kieran and Arthur carried out the funeral arrangements. Also a word of thanks to those who prepared Michael’s final resting place.
Sincere thanks to The Oaks Family Practice for their care over the years and to the District Nurses, Macmillan Nurses, Staff of The Bridgewater Suite at Belfast Cancer Centre, Mr Taylor and The Hepatobilary team at the Mater hospital for their exceptional care also.
We hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as a gesture of our heartfelt gratitude. Michael’s Months Mind mass will be celebrated on Friday 5th March 2021 at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Church, Dunamore via Church webcam.
