Michael Shanks (Lurgan, Armagh)
The family of Michael Shanks would like to thank everyone who sympathised with them during their recent sad bereavement. Your kind words, messages, telephone calls, mass/sympathy cards and attendance at the wake house and the Requiem mass were greatly appreciated by his family circle. Thank you also to the many individuals and businesses who brought gifts of food to the house and those who made donations to 2 north CAH in lieu of flowers. To Michaels friends and neighbours at linen mews we cannot thank you enough for your kindness, help and support throughout the years and during the wake.

A special thanks to the district nurses, diabetic nurses and enable care NI for the care and compassion they showed to Michael every day and enabled him to live a full life at home. Thank you also to the N.I.A.S, CAH emergency department and 2north CAH who treated Michael with dignity, care and compassion. We will be forever grateful to you all.

We would also like to thank the priests of the parish, Fr Wright for your kind words and calling to the home and Fr Wozniak for your kind words and beautiful funeral mass. Thanks also to Catherine, Erin and Ciaran for providing the lovely music which enhanced the mass.

Finally, we thank Thomas of George McNabb &Co. funeral directors for handling all funeral arrangements in a caring and sensitive way.

Although it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our deep appreciation.

Michael’s Month Mind mass will be held in St Peter’s Chapel Lurgan on Sunday 29th October at 12pm
