Miriam (Mary) McGovern (née Murray)

McGovern (née Murray), Miriam (Mary) – R.I.P. 16 Willow Grove, Newry and formerly Drogheda, County Louth. 4th September 2025, at her home. Beloved wife of Terence, loving mother of Shane and Tara, devoted nanny to Lily-Jane, Axel, Emily, Charlotte, Michael and Aoife, predeceased by her sister Patricia and her parents Paul and Jenny.

Miriam’s remains will repose at her home on Sunday (7th September) and Monday (8th September) from 2-9pm each day. House private on Tuesday morning please. Removal from the family home on Tuesday morning (9th September) at 11.30am, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon in The Church of the Assumption, Drumalane, Newry. Burial afterwards in Monkshill cemetery.

Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

Very deeply regretted by her loving husband, son, daughter, grandchildren, siblings Olive, Jean, Paul, Ann and Brian, mother-in-law Mary, daughter-in-law Kelly, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and the extended family circle.

Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Newry and Mourne Parkinsons’ Support Group c/o the donations box in the home or any family member.
