The death has occurred of Monica (Mona) Hughes, née Murphy, Knockbane, Middletown, Co Armagh. Mona died peacefully on 23rd November 2024 with her loving family by her side. Predeceased by her beloved son Michael RIP. Mona will be sadly missed by her loving husband Noel. Devoted mother to Kevin, Shauna, Brenda, Ciaran, Clare and Stephen. Dear mother-in-law of Cormac, Karen, Gráinne and Carol. Much loved Grandmother to Emma, Dara, Rory, Ava, Katie, Ryan, Astrid, Anna, Dónie, Cónán, and Oilibhéar.
Loving daughter of the late Kathleen and Frank Murphy (Upper Darkley) RIP. Sister of Pat, Maura, Eileen, Nancy, Anthony, Eugene, Martin, Paul ,Declan and the late Brian RIP.
Mona will repose at her home from 6.30pm to 11.30pm today Sunday and tomorrow Monday from 12 noon to 9pm. House private at all other times please. To avoid traffic congestion, a shuttle will run from the car park of Cross Border Electrical (Geoghegans) 342 Monaghan Rd. Middletown, BT60 4JQ during the above times.

Her remains will arrive at St. John's Church Middletown on Tuesday 26th November for 2pm Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
