The daughters and extended family of the late Monica Doherty of 73 Marlborough Street wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us following our sad loss. We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many family members, friends, neighbours and colleagues who attended the wake and funeral, who provided food, offered Mass cards and other expressions of sympathy.

A special word of thanks to Fr. Paul Farren, St. Eugene’s Cathedral, for celebrating the requiem mass, and to Anne Marie Hickey for the beautiful singing. To the Community Palliative Care Team in the Foyle Hospice, especially Lisa and Karen; the District nurses, Macmillan nurses, the doctors and other staff of Abbey Medical Practice and Dr. Paddy Mc Shane, Altnagelvin Hospital, we will be forever grateful for their committed care and support during Monica’s illness.

A final word of thanks to W.J. O’ Brien, Funeral Directors, for their sensitive and professional handling of arrangements in such difficult times. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our sincere gratitude. The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Monica’s month’s mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Eugene’s Cathedral on Friday 4th of March at 7.30 pm.
