Neil Mellon
The family of the late Neil Mellon wish to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy, love and gestures of kindness shown due to the loss of our dearly beloved Neil .
We offer our heartfelt thanks to the many family, friends and neighbours who attended Neil's wake and funeral, stood outside the home ,lined the cortège route, stood at the chapel grounds and sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, phone calls, online messages, floral tributes, refreshments and to all those who helped in any way. To those who travelled long distance and all Neil’s family and friends from Chicago your kindness and support provided a great deal of comfort in our time of great sadness.
Sincere thank you to Fr Chris Ferguson for the most beautiful, personal and memorable requiem mass. A special word of thanks to Fr Sean O’ Donnell for the spiritual guidance and support given to Neil during his stay at hospital . Thanks to Erin Carlin ,Isobel Caldwell and Robert Peoples for the most fitting of music tributes.
A special thanks to the staff, doctors and nurses at ward 41 Altnagelvin hospital who established a beautiful relationship with Neil and gave him exceptional care with professionalism and dignity. As a family we will never forget the help given by all and will be forever filled with gratitude.
A special thank you to W J O’Brien & sons funeral directors for their support and the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
Finally we would like to thank God for the blessings he bestowed upon us through Dad giving us all the time we had to know and love a beautiful gentleman.
Never more than a thought away, loved and remembered everyday.
St Martin pray for him
As it is impossible to thank everyone personally, we trust this acknowledgment will be
taken by everyone as a token of our sincere appreciation. The holy sacrifice of the mass will be offered for your intention.
Neil’s month mind mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church Ballymagroaty on Thursday 13th May at 7.15pm
