GRAHAM ~ Nicky
Libby, Gary, Steven and Janet would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone most sincerely for their sympathy on the very sudden death of Nick, a loving Husband, a brilliant Dad, a super fun-loving Granddad and a Friend to many. His untimely death has left us shocked how a strong, healthy and fit man has been taken from us so swiftly on February 20, 2020.
Sincere thanks to Dr. T. Johnston, Nurses and staff at Cookstown Health Centre for all their help. To the three passers-by who stopped and administered CPR at the roadside at the Randalstown new Slip Road, we are truly grateful. Your help in trying to save Nick’s life will be forever in our minds.
To the Paramedic, the Ambulance staff, the Doctors and Nurses at Antrim Area Hospital Emergency Department, thank you each and everyone for your dedication.
Our gratitude to everyone who helped in our home, both inside and outside, to all who called, phoned, brought food, brought/sent flowers, everyone who sent the many cards/letters and to everyone for their attendance at the funeral. It was also comforting to us, as a family, to welcome so many of Nick’s colleagues and to reminisce on days gone by (1974-2016) Thank you to Reverend David Bell (family minister) for his presence at the hospital, the family home and for the beautiful, very personal funeral service.
We would also like to thank the Desertcreat Church family for their help and kind words of sympathy, Paul and Joan Bruce, Tommy our church caretaker, grave digger, car park attendants on the day of the funeral, Gary and Steven and Richard Clingen (colleague and family friend) for their participation in the service, and to Russell Donaldson, our very talented church organist for his beautiful music especially when the coffin was being carried out of the church... it was just what we requested!
Finally, thanks to family and colleagues for carrying the coffin, Ivan Johnston, for laying the RUC GC PSNI poppy wreath, to everyone who helped in the church and church hall, Desertcreat Ladies for providing the lovely refreshments, Isobel Fischer for the beautiful wreaths, Steenson Funeral Directors for their dignified and caring manner towards our family at such a difficult time and to everyone who has sent donations in lieu of flowers for Desertcreat Parish Church, we are completely in awe of your generosity.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this as an acknowledgement of our sincere appreciation and gratitude.

Nick~ I was supposed to spend the rest of my life with you, then I realised you spent the rest of your life with me (1972-2020)...
Libby x

Dad~ You left us without warning, Gone so very fast,
Now all we have are memories, Of our brilliant family past...
Gary, Steven & Janet x

Granddad~ We love you to the moon and back and we will love you forever...
Harriet, Isabella, Alfie & Sophie xoxo Libby and Family Cookstown
