We, the family of the late Nora Ward, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to family, friends and neighbours for their sympathy and support following the sad loss of our dearly cherished mother Nora, a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and friend.
We are most grateful to everyone who called to Nora's wake, attended the funeral, sent Mass cards, flowers, messages and expressions of sympathy. Your kindness and words of comfort have been a great source of strength to us at this difficult time.
A special thanks to Fr Sean Dillon PP for celebrating a beautiful Requiem Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Newcastle.
We would also like to thank Fr Jim Crudden for anointing Nora and his assistance in her funeral arrangements.
We also thank Cara Keaveney for the beautiful singing at Nora's funeral Mass.
A sincere thank you to the carers, nurses, and staff in Slieve Dhu Nursing home, for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Nora throughout her time with them and in her final days.
We would also like to extend our appreciation to Barney, Marcella & Dessie at Cunningham Bros Funeral Directors for the dignity, care and professionalism with which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
Nora's Month's Mind will be celebrated at 10.00am Mass on Friday 22nd May in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Newcastle.
