Odhran O'NEILL

The family of Odhran O’Neill wish to express thanks to all who sympathised with them during the recent tragic loss of their precious son.

A special thanks to all family, friends, neighbours and the local community. Thank you to all who called at the house, helped during the wake, brought food, sent mass cards, sympathy cards and flowers, messaged and attended the funeral.

Our heartfelt thanks to McAlinden & Murtagh Funeral Directors who handled procedures with care, dignity and compassion. The service you offer is outstanding and you worked tirelessly to bring our boy home to us.

Sincere thanks to Clann Eireann GAC for providing all the equipment for the wake and for the generous hamper. We are forever grateful for your support.

Thank you to St Peter’s GAC U15 boy’s team who provided an emotional guard of honour for Odhran’s funeral.

Our thanks to Fr Colum Wright for his spiritual support and for celebrating Odhran’s funeral with compassion and understanding. Thank you to Niamh Murray for providing the beautiful music and singing for the funeral mass and to all the readers, offertory procession and those who provided tributes to Odhran. It was not an easy job and we are so proud of you.

Thank you to Hannon Transport and Pineview Day Nursery for your continued love, support and understanding during this difficult time.

Thank you to the Golden Crust Bakery for delivering supplies for the wake.

We would like to convey our utmost thanks to John O’Dowd MLA, Michelle O’Neill MLA and Carla Lockhart (MP/MLA), Simon Coveney (Minister for Foreign Affairs) and the PSNI for helping the family to speak to the relevant people to bring Odhran home.

To Nicole, Michael and Shauna who stayed with Odhran in Thailand, were our eyes and ears and flew home with him. We will be forever in your debt for everything you did for us and Odhran.

Thank you to the Woodville Arms who went above and beyond to cater for so many guests after the funeral.

It would be impossible to thank everyone here and we hope we have mostly thanked you in person. We trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our heartfelt gratitude.

Odhran’s months mind mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 17th January 2023 at 7.00 pm in St Peter’s Chapel, Lurgan.
