We, the family of the late Pat Hughes wish to express our heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to everyone who sympathised, comforted and supported us through our recent loss of a much loved husband, dad, grandad and brother.

We would like to thank everyone who visited our home, attended the funeral, watched via webcam, and to those family and friends who travelled a great distance to pay their respects. Many thanks to all who sent mass and sympathy cards or other tributes, telephoned or brought food and floral tributes. Your kindness has not gone unnoticed and we are deeply grateful.

A special word of thanks to Fr O’Neill for the very personal and fitting funeral mass as well as to Canon Fee and Fr Madden for their prayers and guidance. Thanks to Roisin and Mickey for the beautiful music at the funeral. We sincerely thank Patsy Taggart’s Funeral Directors for their dignified conduct of the funeral arrangements and to the gravediggers for preparing Pat’s final resting place. Thanks also to Kitch’n Catering and the staff at the O’Rahilly community club who prepared and catered for the post-funeral meal.

As we cannot thank each person individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Pat’s months mind will be held on Friday 30th of September at 7.30pm in St Mary and St Joseph’s church Brackaville.

“Sadly missed along life’s way, quietly remembered every day. No longer in our life to share, but in our hearts, you’re always there”
