Patrick Kennedy: Acknowledgement Notice for the late Patsy Kennedy R.I.P. (Ballinascreen)
Bridie and the entire family circle of the late Patsy R.I.P. wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.
A special thanks to Fr Peter Madden and Fr John Downey for concelebrating the beautiful Requiem Mass and who along with Fr Dermot McGirr, Fr David O’Kane and Fr Paddy Doherty provided spiritual support and guidance which was of great comfort to the whole family.
Thanks to the Gray sisters who assisted Patsy's family with the music, the Eucharistic Ministers, Margaret Kelly the church sacristan, Glenshane Marquee Hire, MFL Maghera, Devlin Media and to The Shepherds Rest for the food after the funeral. We are very thankful for the very kind support from An Ráth Dubh and Sperrin Bakery. Heartfelt thanks to all the pupils and staff from St Conor’s College, Clady/Kilrea and St Patrick’s College, Maghera who provided guards of honour at the chapel.
Thanks to Dr Logan, Dr White and all medical, nursing and admin staff of Draperstown Health Centre, the District Nursing team, Extra Care and Connected Health Ltd carers, the Allied Health Professional Services, the Marie Curie team, and the staff of O'Kane's Pharmacy and Kennedy's Pharmacy for the care and respect given to Patsy and the family.
The family wish to especially thank the kind relatives, friends, neighbours and members of the wider community who helped them during Patsy’s illness and following his passing. Thanks to the McDaid family (Moneyneana) for providing signage, the McKenna family (Cloane) for providing lighting and those who helped with traffic management during the wake and on the day of the funeral. The family are deeply grateful to all those who called to the house, phoned, messaged, sent cards, made donations to Marie Curie, provided food and those who gathered along the route to the Church and attended the funeral; we are truly grateful.
Final thanks to Kevin Murray and Mickey McDaid of Kevin Murray Funeral Directors for the compassionate and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and the support they provided to the family.
The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.
The Month’s Mind Mass for Patsy will be celebrated on Friday 27th January 2023 at 7.30pm in the Holy Rosary Church, Draperstown and can be viewed on the Ballinascreen Parish webcam https://www.parishofballinascreen.com/ballinascreen-webcam. Everyone is welcome to call in An Ráth Dubh Centre, Moneyneana after the Month’s Mind Mass for tea and sandwiches.
