Acknowledgement / Month's Mind Mass

PATRICK HORNER

The wife, sons, daughter, parents and sister of the late Patrick Horner, Timothy Road, Birmingham would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to all who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement.

We are forever grateful to our families for their support and practical help.

We offer our sincere thanks to Bishop McKeown, the priests, relatives, friends and neighbours who called to the house, attended the Requiem Mass, gave Mass Cards, floral tributes or made donations to the Critical Care Trust Fund, City Hospital, Birmingham or Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

We offer our heartfelt thanks to Fr Paul Farren, the Celebrant of Patrick’s Requiem Mass which celebrated his life and to Fr Colm Clerkin, Fr Daniel McFaul and Fr Frank McLaughlin who concelebrated. We are indebted to Anne Marie Hickey and Aidan Watkins for the beautiful singing and music. Thank you to St Eugene’s Primary School P4 pupils for the guard of honour.

Our family would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the Doctors, Nurses, the Organ Transplant Team and Ambulance Crews in the Critical Care Unit in City Hospital, Birmingham for their dignity, care, attention, and kindness to Patrick.

Thank you also to those who travelled distances to mourn with us particularly Patrick’s colleagues from Starbank School, Small Health, Birmingham.

Gratitude to those who sent their condolences via cards or on social media, particularly students (past and present).

Thank you to Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors for arranging the repatriation and the attentive, caring, professional, respectful and dignified manner in which they conducted the funeral arrangements.

Our gratitude to the Garda Síochána for the traffic management on the morning of Patrick’s funeral.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually for their kindness and support, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our sincere thanks and deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass has been offered for all your intentions.

Patrick’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated at 7.30 pm on Saturday, 27th May in St Eugene’s Cathedral, Francis Street, Derry.

Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.
St Pio intercede for him.
