We, the family of the late Patsy McAleer, wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.

We have been overwhelmed by all the support we received from our kind family, neighbours and friends who helped us throughout the wake and funeral. We would like to acknowledge everyone who attended the wake, made phone calls, sent messages, Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers and food. Thanks to those who attended the funeral, watched via web cam and to the family and friends who travelled a great distance to pay their respects at the wake and funeral. We will be forever grateful.

Sincere thanks to the healthcare professionals involved in Patsy’s care, who showed kindness and compassion throughout. We wish to express our sincere appreciation to Fr Kerr for celebrating Requiem Mass and to Fr O’Neill for visiting Patsy and for his pastoral care. Thank you to sacristan Colette Slane and everyone involved in the Mass, especially Sinead Kelly, Rory Madden and Kevin Goggin who provided the beautiful music.

Appreciation to Ryan and Peadar of FMC Funeral Directors for the professional and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Thank you to the gravedigger Ciaran Conroy and the staff at the Charm Inn for refreshments after the Funeral.

We are thankful to the players, committee and members of An Charraig Mhor GFC for the respect shown to Patsy throughout the wake and funeral and for providing a Guard of Honour.

Saddened as we are by our loss, we are so grateful for the life that we shared with Patsy. As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Patsy’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Colmcille’s Church Carrickmore, on Friday 9th September at 7.30pm. It can be viewed via webcam www.termonmaguircparish.com/churches/church-of-st-colmcille-carrickmore/
