The family of the late Pauline Girvan, Glenbeg, Galbally, would like to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them on their recent bereavement of a much loved wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Thank you to the huge amount of people, relatives, neighbour’s and friends who attended the wake and funeral, contacted our family, sent cards and messages of sympathy, and travelled from near and far.  Your support was of great comfort to all the family and showed how much Pauline was revered and respected by all who knew her.

Thank you to Paudge Quinn, Funeral Directors, for the dignified and professional manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and the great support they gave to the family throughout.

A word of heartfelt appreciation for the dignified guard of honour by Pauline’s fellow Trustees of Galbally Youth & Community Association and representatives of the user groups of Galbally Community Centre.  A special thanks also to the children of St. Joseph’s Primary School, Galbally, for their beautiful gesture as they lined the road as Pauline’s cortege passed.

Our gratitude to Father Mc Aleer for carrying out a beautiful mass that was befitting the person that Pauline was. Our sincere appreciation for the beautiful music by Caoimhe Loughran, accompanied by Rory Madden, which enriched the mass beautifully.  To the gravediggers who prepared Pauline’s final resting place with such care and attention.

Our family are indebted to our dear family friend, Sean Patterson of ACE Coaches, for his incredible support and assistance during this difficult time.

To all who provided and served food and tea during the wake, your kindness was appreciated by the family, as was the work done by Maria Corrigan and her team with the post funeral refreshments.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our sincere thanks.

Pauline made an indelible mark on the community of Galbally and her untimely passing is a loss to everyone.  It is however her beloved family that will miss her undeniable love, care and support.

Pauline’s month’s mind mass will take place on Friday 30th December 2022 at The Church of St John the Baptist, Galbally at 7.30pm
