Paul McLAUGHLIN

The Wife, Daughter and Family of the late Paul McLaughlin wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us on Paul’s recent and sudden passing.

We deeply appreciate the loyalty and affection of Paul’s friends and wider family who supported us during Paul’s short illness through their prayers, visits and many gestures of kindness.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who sent Mass Cards, Sympathy Cards and brought sandwiches, cakes, etc. We thank all who attended the Wake and Funeral and thanks also to all for the many, many telephone calls and messages. A very special word of thanks and appreciation too, to Paul’s very kind neighbours.

Sincere thanks to Fr Michael Canny, P.P., Waterside, for his kindness and support as Hospital Chaplain. We extend our heartfelt and special thanks to Fr John McDevitt, P.P., Steelstown, for his visits and prayerful support to us during Paul’s Wake and for his most dignified celebration of the Funeral Mass.

Thanks to Denise and Noel for the beautiful music and singing; to Fr Eamonn Kelly, P.P., Convoy, for the Prayers of Committal at the Graveside,; to those who prepared the Grave and to the Convoy Graveyard Committee, who provided refreshments after the Funeral. We are forever grateful.

We wish to especially extend our appreciation and thanks to the Medical and Nursing professionals from Ward 44 and ICU, Altnagelvin Hospital. We are so grateful to each and every one of you for the dignity, care, compassion and kindness shown to Paul and to us, as a family.

We would also like to sincerely thank Kieran and all of the staff at W J O’Brien & Son Ltd., Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for their professionalism, their empathy and their helpful guidance during such a difficult time.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone personally, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

Paul’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown on Friday, 10 February 2023 at 7.00 p.m.

Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for him.
