Pearse Colgan

To all of the Colgan Family - sending my sincere condolences to you all during this difficult time. I met Sophie in NYC a few years ago, and we developed a close friendship - I have always been captivated by her warmth, her love of people, her story telling and broad appreciation of literature. When I would bring this up she always credited this to her dad Pearse, telling me what an avid reader he was on many diverse topics from poetry, to history and even myth. She admired his broad curiosity for the world around him, that was something he passed on to his children. They say that you have no idea what your legacy will be because your legacy is about every life you touch along the way. Mary & Pearse, you created and raised a beautiful family together - children who carry this ember of curiosity, courage and a love for meaningful connection - your union has brought so much light and love into the world and I know it is the gift that will keep on giving. Wishing you a peaceful rest Pearse - and sending love to Mary and all of her family/loved ones in this time of sorrow. I hope you find peace in the cherished memories and create even more together.
