The family of the late Peter Donnelly ( RIP) wish to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with us following the sudden and unexpected death of our beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
We especially thank our kind relatives, friends and neighbours for their warm support during this time.
Our sincere thanks to all those who called to our home, sent cards, messages of support and letters of condolence and to all those who helped in any way at our home, in particular, those who provided refreshments and meals over the course of Peter’s wake.
A special word of thanks to the staff at Queen’s University for their sympathetic and sensitive response at the time of Peter’s sudden death. We especially wish to acknowledge and thank Peter’s friends and fellow students from University Of Ulster, Coleraine and Queen’s University Belfast who attended his wake and funeral and for their kind words of comfort.
We would also like to express a special word of thanks to Errigal Ciaran GAC for the Guard of Honour and escort to the Chapel and to the Christian Brothers Grammar School for the guard of honour at Peter’s funeral.
Our sincere gratitude to Father Michael O’Dwyer for his spiritual support and the beautiful requiem mass which so poignantly represented Peter’s Life and interests. Thank you to all who participated in the mass and to Noleen Neil, Ciara McGinley, Bronagh Broderick and Cara Clarke for the beautiful music and singing which made Peter’s mass so special.
We also express our sincere gratitude to Paudge Quinn for the professional, dignified and compassionate handling of the funeral arrangements and his invaluable advice at this time. And to those who prepared Peter’s final resting place with such care, we especially thank you.
We thank Altamuskin Community Centre for the use of the hall after the funeral and to Michael Broderick, who arranged and provided a recording of the requiem mass, it has been greatly appreciated by our family members across the world who could not attend in person.
