NOBLE – 1st June 2025, suddenly but peacefully at home, Prof Cecil Arthur Musgrave, Circular Road West, Cultra, Hollywood. Dearly loved and only son of the late Rev Cecil Noble (former Rector of St Vindic’s Parish Church, Tynan, Co Armagh) and Maureen Phoebe Noble (née Musgrave).

Funeral Service in St Vindic’s Parish Church, Tynan on Thursday 5th at 2pm, followed by a private interment.

Donations if desired payable to Holmes of Dungannon for Church Missions, c/o David Cranston Tyrone House, 2 Ballygawley Road, Dungannon, Co Armagh, BT70 1EL.

Remembered with love by all his friends.

Professor Arthur Noble was a close friend of mine. I met him for the first time the day I had an appointment with Dr Ian Paisley in Martyrs' Memorial Church in Belfast at the end of February 1995. We remained in regular contact over the years and often discussed various issues that were related to France and other countries. He was a brilliant academic and musician, a prolific writer who could speak and master several languages, including German and French. We will remember him. Axel Schmidt Wednesday 04 June 2025
