Rhoda’s children Darren and Tracey, Daughters-in-law Mairead and Sarah and Grandchildren Dylan, Amber, Caleb and Elijah would like to thank all those who have expressed sympathy and sorrow and have shown kindness, love and support upon the death of Mrs Rhoda Jones, 21 February 2025 at Antrim Hospital.

We are so grateful to the immediate and extended Stewart and Jones families, the Walls family and those who loved, supported and cared for Mummy - especially since the loss of our Daddy in August 2022.

Week in and out a team of wonderful carers from Ann’s Care Home assisted and cared for Mummy, as well as the brilliant team at Magherafelt Day Centre - all of whom supported Mummy with compassion and humour. Thank you to the Out and About service who also supported Mummy each week, enabling a level of independence she would not otherwise have had. Thank you to the Diamond Medical Centre and McGlaughlin’s Pharmacy for all the support and careful care given to Mummy. We also would like to thank all Antrim Hospital staff who cared for Mummy during her time in hospital and especially during her final week.

Our sincere and heartfelt thanks to Rev Jonathan and Lorna Curry and the Church community of First Magherafelt Presbyterian Church, Crafty Ladies and the Thursday Coffee Morning. Thank you for how you supported, loved and cared for Mummy each week - she so enjoyed those times and we know that much laughter was had. Thank you too for how you were there for Mummy in her final weeks faithfully visiting and praying for her and for us as we acutely felt the loss of our Mum.

Thanks to everyone who attended Mummy's wake and funeral - she would've been touched by the send off she received from family, friends and former work colleagues.

To Helen and all at D Watters Funeral Services - we are so incredibly grateful for how you guided us through the funeral arrangements for both of our parents. Your kindness, patience, care and compassion is remarkable and so deeply appreciated.

Finally thanks to everyone who have donated to First Magherafelt Presbyterian Church, where Mum really felt at home and part of an extended family. We pray others get as much from Church as Mummy did.

Have you considered?
