Rita Colgan (née Bradley)
COLGAN - Ballymaderphy, Kilkeel. Rita, (nee Margurite Bradley) passed away peacefully on Sunday 31st July at Brooklands Nursing Home, three weeks from her 91st birthday
Dearly beloved wife of the late Peter Colgan and mother of Leo, (Nikki) Margaret Ryan, Teresa White (Seamus) and Deirdre Sullivan (Richmond) and sister of May Brannigan, Tullyframe.
Predeceased by her sister, Irene Mc Comb; her son-in-law, Martin Ryan; her brother in law, Jimmy Brannigan; her great grandchildren, Charlie and Mollie White as well as cherished member of the Colgan household, Willie Sloan Brennan.
Rita will be very sadly missed by her children, her sons in law, daughter in law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousin Christina Mackle, the extended Colgan and Bradley families and all those who knew and loved her over a long life of contentment built on her strong Catholic faith.
Rita’s remains will repose at the family home, 15, Ballymaderphy Road from Monday afternoon onwards until removal on Wednesday at 11.15 am for Requiem Mass at 12 noon in St. Colman’s Church, Massforth with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Donations in lieu of flowers if so desired to support Father Nicky Hennity’s Missionary Fund in Mombasa or to the Children’s Hospice c/o the family.
