HUSTON Rita R.I.P. – passed away peacefully on her 92nd birthday at Our Lady’s Nursing Home on 26th May 2026 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Des. Cherished mother of Donna, Barry, Anita, Patrick and Jim. Sadly missed by her children’s spouses, Declan, Linda and Georgina, and partner Trish. Devoted grandmother of Damien, Sarah, Matthew, Lisa, Dominic, Declan, Rebecca, Rachel, Joel, Charly, Eli. Loved Great grandmother of Niall, Brianna, Blakely, Cuan, Kora, Jayden, Logan. Loving sister of Jack, Mary, Phillip and the late Peter, Paddy, Kath and Joe.

Rita will be reposing in our Chapel of Rest (98 Stewartstown Road) between 12:30pm and 1:30pm on Thursday for those wishing to pay their respects. Rita will then be reposing at Anita and Declan’s home (23 The Manor Blacks Road) from Friday from 1pm – 9pm for those wishing to pay their respects. The family kindly request privacy at the home on Saturday morning prior to the funeral. Rita will leave her daughters home on Saturday afternoon at 1:15pm to arrive at St. Anne’s Church for 2pm Requiem Mass. Burial to follow at The Rock Cemetery.
Rita will be loved and missed always by her heartbroken sons, daughters, son-in-law, daughter-in-law’s, grandsons, granddaughters, great grandson, great granddaughter’s, brothers, sister and the entire wider family circle.
