February 19, 2017, peacefully, at hospital, late of Ballylone Road, Ballynahinch, a dearly beloved husband of Maureen and a loving father to Martin and Ian, father-in-law of Diane and Karen, a devoted grandfather to Aaron (his partner Hannah), Natasha (her boyfriend Chris), Jenna (her husband Daryl) and a great-grandfather to Jane. A Service of Thanksgiving for Bertie’s life will be held in Raffrey Presbyterian Church on Wednesday at 2.00 p.m. Burial afterwards in the adjoining graveyard. House private. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, for N.I. Chest, Heart and Stroke (cheques payable to Douglas Donations Account), c/o 20 Dromore Road, Ballynahinch, BT24 8HP. Will be lovingly remembered and very sadly missed by his sorrowing wife, sons, their families and the wider family circle. Safe in the arms of Jesus.
