We, the family of the late Ronnie Armstrong, Main Street, Maguiresbridge, wish to express our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to everyone who supported us during our recent bereavement.

We are deeply grateful to our neighbours, local businesses, the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Police Service of Northern Ireland for the care, compassion and assistance shown to Ronnie and to our family on the morning of his passing.

Our sincere thanks to all who sympathised with us in any way - those who attended the wake, sent cards, telephoned, sent messages, left tributes on social media, called at the family home, brought food, walked Fudge, offered practical help, attended the funeral, or supported us in any other way during this difficult time. Your kindness and generosity have been a great comfort to us all.

A special word of thanks to Rev Rodney Beacom for his pastoral care, comforting service and prayers, and to the organist for the lovely music. Also, sincere thanks for the use of the Hunters Field car park.

We also wish to thank the members of SEFF for the thoughtful wheelbarrow tribute at Ronnie’s funeral, and the UDR Regimental Association for the Guard of Honour and tribute at the graveside.

Sincere thanks to Lisa Carrothers and her team at Forge Lane for providing the funeral tea, and to Maguiresbridge Presbyterian Church and its members for their kindness, practical support, and for the use of the Church Hall for the wake and funeral refreshments.

Also, we wish to express our thanks to the florist for the beautiful funeral flowers which were greatly admired and provided a fitting tribute to Ronnie.

We are especially grateful to Marcus Madill Funeral Director and his team for their guidance, compassion, professionalism and dignified manner throughout this difficult time, and also to the grave diggers for preparing Ronnie’s final resting place.

Finally, we wish to thank all those who kindly made donations in lieu of flowers to Chest Heart & Stroke in Ronnie’s memory.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our gratitude and appreciation.
