Rosaleen’s husband Charlie, daughter Carol and son Barry, along with their extended family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with them through their recent bereavement. Thank you to all who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, called to the house, brought food to the house, sent messages of support, lined the funeral route, attended the requiem Mass or viewed the service via the chapel webcam. We would like to thank Fr. Michael Doherty for the beautiful Mass, Fr. Peter Mc Laughlin and
Fr. Thomas Canning who concelebrated, Rev Mervyn Peoples who also took part in the Requiem Mass and Fr. Gerry Sweeney who took part in the funeral procession. We would like to thank Fr Declan Boland for his spiritual guidance, attendance and support throughout Rosaleen’s illness. We must also thank Molly McKeever and Paul Tully for providing such heartfelt music that made the funeral Mass even more special. A sincere thank you to
Dr. Mc Sorley, Sinead Melaugh, the district nursing team, Cheryl, Doreen, Briege, Shiela, Chelsea and Ellen, and Caroline Mc Ivor from the community hospice team, who all cared for Rosaleen. To the staff of Ballycolman Pharmacy who were always very helpful, thank you. We would like to thank Suzanne, Eleanor, Julianne and everyone who helped with tea during the wake, we could not have coped without you. A word of thanks also to those who provided sandwiches, cakes, scones, biscuits, etc. Thank you to St Mary’s PS, Cloughcor for providing the guards of honour, of present and past pupils. Also thank you to the staff of St. Mary’s PS, Melmount who lined the funeral route. We also want to thank Jude Maguire and the staff of Thomas Quigley and Son for their help in carrying out the funeral arrangements in such a dignified and professional manner. A personal thank you to Mary Quinn for attending to Rosaleen. To Donna Doherty for providing the floral arrangements, exactly how Rosaleen would have liked them, thank you. As we are unable to thank everyone individually, we hope you will accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere thanks and appreciation.
We were extremely humbled by the number of people who have paid their respects to Rosaleen over the period of her wake, funeral and the days after. Your warmth and kindness have been fully appreciated by the family.
Rosaleen’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 15th February at 7pm
