We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Rosemary (Rosie) O'Doherty née Leonard, peacefully at her home after a short illness on 13th February 2024.

Late of 82 Galliagh Park and formerly of 10 Waterloo Street. May she rest in peace.

Dearest wife of the late John (Doc) O'Doherty. Devoted mother of Sinead, Daniel, Sean, Liam and Charmaine. A much loved mother-in-law of Benny, Anne-Marie, Leeann, Louise and Michael. Loving granny and great-granny to all of her grandchildren. Beloved daughter of the late Teresa and Jack. Precious sister of Alice, Anthony, Patricia, Veronica, Paul, Peter and the late Paddy, Mary, Joe and Martin. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours.

Rosie’s remains will be reposing at her late family residence, 82 Galliagh Park. Her wake will commence from 1:30pm this afternoon, Wednesday 14th February. Funeral leaving from there on Friday 16th February at 10:45am for 11:30am Requiem Mass in St. Eugene's Cathedral. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

Wake house will be private from 10pm in the evenings.
