The death has occurred of:
Sally McCann (née McCann)
McCann
Sarah Ann (Sally)
The family of the late Sally McCann (St. Francis’ Terrace, Clanvaraghan) would like to express their heartfelt thanks and grateful appreciation to all those who sympathised with them during their recent bereavement. Thank you to those who called at the house during the wake, attended the funeral on Sunday 7 June or sent cards and/or messages of sympathy. Your kindness helped us greatly at a very challenging time.
We would like to thank the paramedics who attended Sally’s house on Wednesday and made her comfortable before taking her to the Ulster Hospital. Our thanks also to the doctors and nurses in the Emergency Department of the Ulster Hospital for treating her so well during her short time in their care. We would also like to thank Fr Ciaran Dallat for being so supportive of the family and helping to organise the funeral mass which was a fitting tribute to Sally on the feast of Corpus Christi. Thanks also to Fr Crudden, Fr Murray, Fr Brown and Deacon Niall O’Hara for calling at the house and praying for Sally.
We would also like to thank Cara Keaveney for her beautiful singing throughout the Requiem Mass and to all who participated in the liturgy. Thanks also to the volunteers of St. John’s GAC and to Maureen Ward in particular for the refreshments served after the burial.
Finally, our sincere thanks to Cunningham Bros. Funeral Directors Castlewellan for their dedicated and continuous support and their professional and dignified approach to their work.
As it is impossible to thank everyone personally and to avoid the risk of leaving someone out, please accept this small gesture as a token of our appreciation and gratitude.
Sally’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 5 July at 10am in St. Mary of the Angels Church Clanvaraghan.
