The death has occurred of:
Sally McLAUGHLIN
We, the family of the late Sally McLaughlin, 15 Osprey Drive, would like to express our wholehearted gratitude for the unwavering support and kindness we received following our mother’s sudden passing on the 17 February 2025 so soon after the death of our father Hugh.
Sincere thanks for the continued presence and generosity from family, friends, neighbours and all of those who travelled far and near to attend Sally’s wake and funeral; who brought and served food and refreshments during the wake; offered condolences; made donations in lieu of flowers; sent Mass cards, and prayed with us. A heartfelt thank you to those of you who shared your stories and memories, your tears, laughter and your endless, kind words about Sally, all of which provided and continues to provide, a profound source of comfort.
Our wholehearted thanks and admiration to all the carers who looked after her over the past number of years with compassion and dignity.
We would like to acknowledge the care given by the staff of Cityview Medical, especially by the District Nurses for their attentiveness and dedication caring for our mother.
Sincere thanks to Fr Canny for his spiritual work at the wake, the Requiem Mass and at Sally’s burial.
Thank you to those who provided the flower arrangements, Gerard Bradley and Michelle Conaghan for the music and singing at the service, the caterers at Ardmore Church Hall and the gravediggers for preparing Sally’s final resting place.
Finally, a very special thank you to all at WJ O'Brien & Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton, particularly Kieran and Noeleen, for their guidance and the caring, attentive and dignified manner in which they dealt with the funeral arrangements .
Although it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deep appreciation.
Sally’s Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Columb's Church, Chapel Road, Waterside, on Tuesday 18th March 2025 at 7.30 pm. Everyone welcome.
