The Family of the late Samuel Brown, Moneymore would like to sincerely thank all those friends and neighbours who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement. To those who attended the wake at the home, sent cards or messages of sympathy, telephoned, brought gifts, attended the funeral or helped in any way.

Sincere thanks to everyone who gave donations in Sammy’s memory to Lecumpher Presbyterian Church and Drop Inn Ministries.
A special word of thanks to Rev Ashley Graham for conducting the services in the home, Church and graveside, also the musicians: the organist and pianist – John and Moira Barfoot. Also a special thanks to the piper Jacob, Sammy’s Grandson, who accompanied the remains at the home and Church.

A big thank you to the Ladies of Lecumpher Church for the lovely tea provided in the Church hall and to the Men of the Church who carried out parking and ushering duties.

A special thank you to all those who ministered to Sammy, both physically and spiritually during his illness. To Rev Ashley Graham who called so often at the home and hospital to encourage and pray for Sammy and the family and to remind us of how our Church family were also praying for us all. To all our Church friends who visited, phoned and messaged enquiring about Sammy and assuring us of their prayers.

Sincere thanks to all the District Nurses:- Karen (O.T.), Eilis, the Hospice Nurse and to the Marie Curie Nurses who all did everything they possibly could to make Sammy more comfortable at home. We will also never forget Dr. Abas from Mid Ulster Health Care who was so kind and caring towards Sammy. Thanks also to all the Reception Staff and Treatment Room Nurses for all their kindness and help, to Moneymore Pharmacy; Stephen and all the Staff who helped in every way they could and to N.I. Ambulance Staff and the Doctors and Nurses of Antrim Area Hospital for their excellent care during Sammy’s illness.

Thank you to Gillian, Margaret, Molly and Chaela who came to help with the tea at the wake. It was very much needed and appreciated.

Our heartfelt thanks to Helen and all the Staff at D. Watters Funeral Services for the professional and caring manner shown to us during this difficult time as they carried out the funeral arrangements.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our deepest thanks and appreciation.

Violet, Stephen, Richard and Elaine.

“God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away”.
