Sarah Meenagh (nee Munroe). Drumlister Road, Sixmilecross, Beragh. Who passed away on the 24th June 2025.

We, the family of the much-loved Sarah, would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who offered their support and sympathy following our devastating loss. Beloved wife of Niall, Loving Mummy of Matthew and Orlaith, Precious Daughter of Pat and Kathleen, Sister of Shane, Shirleen, Shannon, Sean, Shiel and Stiophán, Daughter-in-law of Mickey and Jane, Sister-in-law, Aunty, Niece, Cousin, Colleague, Neighbour and Friend. We will forever miss her love.

Sincere gratitude to everyone who attended the wake and funeral. To her Family, Friends, Neighbours, Local Businesses, Beragh Red Knights Club members and players and the Local Community for their generosity in providing food, refreshments and transport, managing the traffic, kitchen helpers and anyone who helped in any way, your kindness was appreciated and you have our utmost gratitude.

We are overwhelmed by the number of people who attended the wake and funeral sharing their stories and memories of Sarah. Thank you to anyone that took the time to speak to us, sent beautiful messages, mass cards, sympathy cards and flowers and posted lovely comments on social media. All of this has provided us with great comfort during this very difficult time. Knowing how loved and appreciated our Sarah was and how she touched your lives in so many little beautiful ways.

A heartfelt thank you to all Sarah’s colleagues past and present. A special mention to Michael and Gary and all her colleagues at Recyco. Your generosity of spirit, kindness and respect shown to Sarah, over the years, as well as your presence at the wake and at her funeral meant so much to us. It’s clear she was loved and will be dearly missed by you all.

A sincere thank you to all those that provided a guard of honour at the funeral, including St Oliver Plunkett Primary School, Dean Maguirc College, Beragh Red Knights Club and Beragh Credit Union and to everyone that stood strong for us along the Drumlister Road, Sixmilecross Main Street and Beragh Main Street.

To all those at home and abroad who were unable to attend the wake or funeral we felt your prayers and presence in our hearts.

A special word of thanks to Fr McCartan PP for the beautiful Requiem Mass. We convey our genuine appreciation to the sacristan and Eucharistic ministers along with our family and friends who took part in the mass including the musicians and singers Noleen Neil, Lousie McCartan, Catherine Burns, Mattie Neil, Bronagh and Shauna Broderick, the beautiful music brought us such comfort. Thank you also to Father Peter McAnenly PP who visited us at the family home.

Our heartfelt thanks to family friend, Fergal Farley and staff at Farley Funeral Directors for their utmost care, kindness and dignity in the way in which they carried out the arrangements for the wake and funeral. Thank you, to those that helped with serving the refreshments after the funeral at Beragh Hub, for their warm hospitality and to the grave diggers for preparing Sarah’s final resting place.

We send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to Dr Fenton, her team and all the staff at the Mandeville Unit who cared for and supported Sarah. To the medical teams and staff at Carrickmore Health Centre, local pharmacies and district nurses Adelaide and Emma for your care and kindness.

A special mention to Emma, Sarah’s best friend, for your love, friendship and unwavering support over the years and especially in the last few weeks.

All donations that were received by the family will be presented to a local charity.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude and appreciation to everyone who helped and supported us. We were truly overwhelmed and will never forget the kindness shown as it brought us great comfort during such a heartbreaking time.

Psalm 91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.

Sarah’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in Church of the Immaculate Conception, Beragh on Thursday 24th July at 7.30 pm.
