The death has occurred of:
Seamus Tierney
The family of the late Seamus Tierney wish to express our sincere gratitude to all those who sympathised with us during our bereavement.
For the sympathy and mass cards, phone calls and texts, messages posted online, and to all those who attended the wake and funeral, we are so grateful. It gives us great comfort knowing that Daddy was so loved and thought-of by many.
Thank you to Fr. John McCallion and Fr. Eugene O’Neill for visiting Daddy in hospital. It gave him great comfort in his final days. A special thanks to Fr. O’Neill in particular for the compassionate, personal manner in which he conducted Daddy’s Requiem Mass and for his unwavering support for our family.
We send our sincere thanks and appreciation to all health care professionals involved in Daddy’s care, in particular to the nurses and doctors in Craigavon Area Hospital (Ward 1 North) for being amazing towards Daddy in his final days. We will never forget their kindness and compassion towards us as a family.
Thank you sincerely to Edel and Patsy and all involved from Patsy Taggart Funeral Directors for the dignified way in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and for going over and above to make sure Daddy’s send-off was special and poignant for our family. Also, thank you to the grave diggers who prepared his final resting place.
Many thanks to Margaret Conlon and Patrick Slevin for the beautiful music during Daddy’s requiem Mass and to all those who participated in readings and Eucharistic ministry. A special thank you to Jenna McKernan for composing a beautiful Communion poem which reflected Daddy so well.
Thank you to the Gables Restaurant for the lovely food and drinks served after the Funeral Mass.
As it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere and utmost gratitude to everyone for their support since Daddy’s passing.
His month’s mind will be celebrated on Friday 1st November at 7:30pm in St Mary’s and St Joseph’s Church, Brackaville.
