The family of the late Seamus Mc Grath would like to express our deep appreciation and gratitude to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way.
Sincere thanks to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards, flowers, and to those who left messages of condolence online or via social media. Thank you to those who called to the wake, lined the funeral route or joined us for Dad's funeral Mass. A most sincere thank you to our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped prepare food, serve refreshments or assisted with car parking.
A special word of appreciation to Rev. Fr. Kevin Mc Elhennon P.P. for his spiritual support and guidance to the family and for celebrating the heartfelt and comforting Requiem Mass.
We convey our thanks also to everyone who assisted with the Liturgy, our singers and musicians, Niall Donnelly, Bronagh Hackett, Joanne Mc Grath, Martin Ward and our harpist Niamh Mc Collum.
Our sincere gratitude to Charles Lynch Funeral Directors for the very dignified, respectful and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were conducted, and to those who prepared Dad's final resting place.
Our thanks also to Mark and Mairéad Mc Bride and staff for the very welcome refreshments in the Parish Hall after the funeral.
We remain grateful to all those who so dutifully cared for Dad in Hillview Nursing Home, the staff of Ward 8 South West Acute Hospital and all the care workers who assisted the family in attending to Dad's needs while he was being looked after at home.
Please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family's deepest gratitude.
Seamus was a greatly loved father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be sadly missed.
May he Rest in God's eternal love and peace.
His Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary's Church, Knockmoyle, on Saturday 2nd December at 12.30pm.
