The death has occurred of:
Seamus MULLAN
Mullan, Seamus (Derry/Oville/Dungiven)
We, the family of the late Seamus Mullan wish to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love and support shown to us during Seamus’s illness and during our recent sad bereavement. Our heartfelt thanks to the many friends, family, extended family circle, neighbours and work colleagues for their kindness in calling at our home, sending Mass cards, letters and messages of sympathy and to all those from near and far who attended the funeral. In particular, we would like to thank Derry GAA for their very touching tribute to Seamus & for the guard of honour at the chapel.
Our sincere thanks to Fr.Canny, PP Glendermott Parish, for concelebrating the Requiem Mass along with our dear cousin Fr.Pat O’Neill, Miami, USA. We would particularly like to thank Fr .Pat for coming home to be with us in those few precious days before Seamus’s passing. We would also like to thank Fr. Kelly, PP Dungiven, for allowing us to bury Seamus in his native parish. A special word of thanks to the team of doctors and staff of Aberfoyle Medical Centre& Altnagelvin Hospital; to all the district nurses, and to the staff of Bradley’s Pharmacy (Abercorn) for their excellent medical attention during Seamus’s illness. We also express our sincere thanks to the fantastic team of carers from Strabane & District Caring and North West Carers who looked after Seamus at home with unfailing kindness and dedication, to our social worker Geraldine O’Kane and to those family & friends who gave so generously of their time and care in so many ways. Thanks to Kieran and the staff of W J O’Brien Funeral Directors, Eglinton for the professional and dignified way in which they carried out the funeral arrangements.
As it would be impossible to thank individually all those whose kindness has brought such comfort to us, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all with our sincere thanks.
Seamus’s Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Friday 4th February at 7.30 pm in St Patrick's Church, Dungiven.
