Words are inadequate to express the depth of our gratitude to the relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues who supported and comforted us, in any way during Seán’s relatively short illness and at the time of his passing.
Seán faced his illness with courage and resilience and received much professional care along the way.

Seán’s Spiritual care was a great comfort to him during his illness and we thank
Fr. Denis Dolan

Fr. Peter Mc Anenly, and
Monsignor Peter O’Reilly for their visits, prayers and sacraments.
We are indebted to Seán’s legion of friends who worked tirelessly and endlessly to prepare for his homecoming; Dromore Marquee’s for providing the marquee; all those who helped in any way before, during and following Seán’s wake and funeral, the individuals and businesses who provided food and other essentials; those who helped with tea making; Dromore GFC for their much needed assistance with traffic management and car parking; those who provided and drove transport and the caretakers of St. Patrick’s Hall for allowing access and equipment, as required.
We are grateful to all who attended Seán’s wake, Requiem Mass and burial, many of whom travelled long distances, to those who lined the Funeral route and to those who viewed on line.
The large numbers were indeed a testament to the esteem in which Seán was held and we took great comfort from your presence.
To Seán’s lifelong friends at Longhill Plant who meticulously prepared and provided the vehicles which greatly enhanced Seán’s final journey.
To all who brought or sent Mass Cards, Sympathy Cards, left messages of sympathy and love on social media, sent flowers and floral tributes.
To Fr Denis Dolan for the most meaningful Requiem Mass and Prayers of Committal at the graveside, to all who took part in the liturgy, readers, Eucharist Ministers, Cathan for the most suitable reflection, Fergal and Stephen for the beautiful singing and music, to the sacristan, gravedigger, coffin bearers, Dromore GFC and Big Ridge Cycling Club for their Guard of Honour, the ladies in St. Patrick’s Hall who provided the post funeral refreshments and Sheenagh from Bumble Bee Garden for the floral tributes.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the professional and attentive manner in which Seán’s funeral arrangements were carried out, and a special word of thanks to Pat, for his respectful guidance throughout.
Please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our deepest gratitude for the prayers and support, as we continue to navigate our way through our immense loss.
May Seán’s gentle, kind and generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Seán’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 7th June 2025 at 7pm in St. Davog’s Church, Dromore, and may also be viewed via the Webcam.
