Sheila Mallon
We the family of the late Sheila Mallon (nee Lyons) RIP would like to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all of you who travelled near and far to sympathise and support us on the recent loss of our much loved Mummy, Mother-in-law, Granny, Sister, Cousin and Aunt.
The outpouring of family, friends and neighbours at the wake and funeral was a true testimony of our treasured mummy’s life. We deeply appreciate all the lovely Mass cards, shared memories, floral tributes and the kind donations to Parkinson’s UK (Newry & Mourne).
A very sincere thank you to the staff and Management of St Joseph’s Nursing Home Warrenpoint for the utmost care, compassion and dedication Mummy received during her time there. We also appreciate the support and medical care received from Dr Henry McLoughlin.
We thank Canon Kearney and Monsignor Connolly for their spiritual guidance and pastoral care. With heartfelt thanks to her nephew Fr Gabriel Lyons for celebrating the funeral mass and delivering a beautiful eulogy, Our thanks to Frances Hannaway and Eimear O’Reilly for the beautiful music in the Chapel and Sean McNamara for the singing at the graveside.
Our sincere thanks to Cathal, Méabh and all the staff of McAnulty Funeral Directors for all their compassionate help and professional support every step of the way in arranging such a beautiful wake and funeral.
We would like to sincerely thank Hugh and the staff of Diamonds Restaurant Warrenpoint for the lovely meal after the funeral and to Ballyholland GAA Harps for hosting our family and friends with warm and welcoming hospitality.
Sheila’s months mind will be celebrated on Sunday 28 June 2026 at 10.30am in St Mary’s Church, Chapel Street, Newry.
