Sheila McDermott
Died 27th May 2026
We the family of the late Sheila McDermott wish to express our sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on the heart-breaking loss of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who travelled far and near to visit mum during the wake, attended mass, joined us via webcam, sent mass cards, flowers, sympathy messages, who offered comfort and support in anyway. Also for the kind donations to Foyle Search & Rescue. Your kindness and thoughtfulness have been a great source of strength to us during this very difficult time.
A special word of thanks to doctors of Aberfoyle Surgery, Dr. Loftus and Dr. Gilliland and all the staff for their professionalism, kindness and diligent care of our mum.
Our heartfelt thanks also to Altnagelvin Hospital, Ward 23, nursing staff and doctors who gave great care and attention to our mum.
A special thanks to Sean and Junior and all the girls who provided refreshments throughout the wake, it was greatly appreciated.
Our sincere thanks to Father Roni Zacharias for his unwavering spiritual support and prayers and for celebrating mum's beautifully touching Requiem Mass. Also, thank you to the musician and singer for the beautiful singing which added so much comfort and meaning to mum's mass.
Finally, our warmest thanks to Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors, we are forever grateful to them for their exception care, dignity and respect they showed in ensuring our mum was laid to rest with such grace and dignity.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere thanks and gratitude.
Mum will be forever loved and sadly missed.
Our Lady of Knock pray for her.
Mum's Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 28th June at 11:00am in St. Joseph's Church, Galliagh.
