We the family of the late Stephen Colton would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported us during our sad and sudden bereavement.
Thank you to all those who attended the wake in Grianan House Funeral Home and to the ladies from Harmonise who provided the catering there.
Our sincere thanks to those who lined the funeral route and /or attended the Requiem Mass and burial.
We wish to acknowledge the many Mass cards, sympathy cards and letters received, all of which we got great comfort from. Our thanks also to those who left messages of sympathy on- line or via social media.
We express our appreciation to all those who sent flowers and for the many generous donations received for The Brain Charity.
A special word of thanks to Father Denis Dolan and Canon McGahan for their spiritual support and for their very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan Mrs Patricia McCaffrey and to everyone who took part in the Liturgy especially our readers. For the very beautiful music and hymns, our thanks to the Harmonise musicians and singers accompanied by Mr Karl McGuckin.
Special thanks to the staff and students of the schools who provided guards of honour and to all guards of honour who were present. We are also very grateful to Mr Eugene Montague and the coffin bearers who carried out their role respectfully and with efficiency.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the professional and compassionate manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Our thanks also to Mr Eamon Colton, grave digger, for preparing Stephen’s final resting place and to Sheenagh of Bumble Bee Garden Dromore for the very beautiful and appropriate floral tribute. Sincere thanks also to the ladies of St Patrick’s Hall for the very welcome refreshments after the burial.
Finally we would like to commend the excellent services provided by both the Ambulance Service and the PSNI. In addition, we thank sincerely all the staff in Altnagelvin Hospital who attended Stephen and who supported our family throughout his short illness.
We are blessed to have had and continue to have the love and support of our relatives, friends, neighbours and work colleagues during and since the time of Stephen’s passing.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude. May Stephen’s passionate, generous and gentle soul be granted peace and eternal rest.
Stephen’s Month Mind Mass will be held in St Davog’s Church, Dromore, Co Tyrone on Saturday 5th July at 7pm. Our Lady pray for him.
