Altnaveigh Augher, 14th July 2021.
The brothers, sisters and extended family of the late Terence McCaughey RIP,, wish to express our sincere gratitude to family, friends, very kind neighbours and all who supported us in our recent bereavement.

Grateful thanks to all who offered condolences; to those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, phone and social media messages. To all our friends, neighbours and work colleagues, who called at our house, attended the funeral or who reverently stood along the roadside to St. Macartan’s chapel and adjoining graveyard, and to all who joined us on webcam, we are deeply grateful and appreciative of your solidarity and support.

A special thank you to Canon Noel McGahan for celebrating the requiem mass with such a fitting tribute to Terence. Thank you to Fr. Seamus McGinley who concelebrated mass and to Canon Dawson for his prayerful support. Grateful thanks to the musicians for the beautiful singing and music and to all those who contributed with the funeral mass.

Thank you to the nurses and medical staff of CAH for their professional care during Terence’s short illness. Deep appreciation to Terence’s dedicated carers, his friends and wonderful neighbours whose regular visits and phone calls meant so much to him.
Thanks to Dominic Muldoon and Phelim McKenna for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements and to the grave diggers who prepared Terence’s final resting place. Thank you to Augher GFC for providing traffic control and parking at the funeral, to Pat Traynor for the refreshments after the funeral and to all who kindly donated to Parkinsons NI.

We are sorry that due to Covid restrictions we were not able to welcome everyone into our home and chapel. Trusting this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude for your kindness, support and prayers at this sad and difficult time.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Terence’s month’s mind mass will be celebrated on Friday 13th August at St Macartan’s Chapel Augher.
