We the family of the late Ernie Cockburn, wish to express our sincere thanks to everyone who offered their condolences, prayers, support and kindness during our time of grief following the loss of our beloved husband, dad and grandad.

We are deeply grateful to all who attended his wake and funeral, sent sympathy, mass cards, and offered comfort and support to our family. A special thank you to everyone who helped with serving tea and food during the wake. We would particularly like to thank the staff of Ward 5 at the South West Acute Hospital for the care, compassion and kindness shown to us, and to Canon Derek Quinn for a beautiful funeral service, and the touching tribute from Ernie's grandchildren.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to Maguires Funeral Services for their guidance, care and support in getting us throug this. We would also like to thank The Royal British Legion, The North Irish Militia, and the Inniskilling Fusiliers for their guard of honour, and to his dear friends at the Men's Shed for their Kindness and respect.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a sincere expression of our gratitude to all who helped, supported and remembered Ernie in any way.

Ernie's Month Mind Mass will be celebrated within the Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday 17th June at 7.30pm
