Thomas Forbes

The family of the late Thomas (Tom) Forbes. Learmore Road, Castlederg wish to thank all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement.

To the Rev. Robert Orr who conducted a lovely thanksgiving service for Tom’s life and paid tribute to him both at home and the graveside, those who called at his home, attended the funeral, sent cards or telephoned, the District Nurses, GP’s, Social Worker, Wilkinsons Chemist, and all of the staff at Ward 26 in Altnagelvin Hospital, staff from Strabane and Londonderry Council, the funeral director Robert Armstrong and Son who carried out the funeral arrangements in such an efficient and dignified manner and those who made generous donations to Multiple Sclerosis.

Special thanks goes to all those from Northwest Care, especially the excellent team of carers who attended Tom several times daily and in particular to Kathleen who was also a close friend and confidant providing an excellent level of care and support over many years and also to his many friends that continued to keep in contact and visit with him at his home over the years of his illness.

We also express our thanks to the staff at Spruce House where Tom went for regular respite care! As it is impossible to thank everyone personally or individually so please accept this acknowledgment as an expression of our deepest gratitude.
