Tommy Callaghan

We the family of the late Tommy, would like to express our deepest appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised, prayed for and supported us during our recent bereavement. Tommy was the beloved husband of the late Sheila, adored father of Margaret, Cecilia (Gerry), Damien (Máire), Ursula (Gerry), Imelda (Gary) and the late Seamus (Bridget). A dearly loved granda of 19 and great granda of 10. Much loved brother of Owenie, uncle and friend to many.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who shared our vigil in the hospital, attended Tommy’s wake, shared stories and memories, provided fans, brought food, telephoned, sent messages, Mass and sympathy cards and gave so generously to their time. We also acknowledge donations in lieu of flowers towards St. Tierney’s Church Windows Restoration Fund.

Thanks to the staff of Maple Healthcare, Ambulance Service and SWAH staff especially those in Wards 1 and 8, the Podiatry and Palliative Care Teams for their kindness and professionalism in his final illness.
Thanks to those who lined the route or attended the Requiem Mass, especially those who travelled long distances. Our deepest gratitude to our friends who helped at the wake and to Roslea Shamrocks who accompanied him on his final journey.

To Fr Chester who visited Tommy in hospital, officiated at his funeral Mass and spoke so eloquently about him. His words brought great comfort to us in our time of sorrow.
We convey our appreciation to the sacristan and Roslea Choir for their heartfelt gesture and beautiful music.

Thanks to Connolly Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Thank you to the grave diggers and thank you to the staff of Brian’s Bar for the very welcome refreshments.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude. He will be greatly missed.
The holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all. Tommy’s Memorial Mass will be celebrated on the occasion of his beloved wife’s anniversary on Sunday 26th July at 10:30am in St Tierney’s Church, Roslea
