The children & extended family circle of the late Tommy McDermott would like to thank everyone who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. We would like to thank all those who sent Mass & Sympathy cards, telephoned and sent messages via Social Media. To all who came to the funeral home and Daddy’s funeral Mass we thank you. To the beautiful Guards of Honour – St Kevin’s College, St Naille’s P.S., Clogher Lourdes Staff, Faith and Light, Roslea Comhaltas Group, Roslea Shamrocks & Lisnaskea Emmetts – Your presence there for daddy was such a comfort to us and a moving tribute to him. Many thanks to Ciaran Maguire & Angela Murphy & Sarah & Martin Boyle for arranging the music tribute to daddy in the garden of our home as we brought daddy back and to Darren Breslin for playing daddy out of the funeral home. Thanks to Martin Donohoe, Michael Curran, Gary Lynch & Darren Breslin & all the wonderful musicians who joined them at daddy’s graveside for his final goodbye. Thanks to Canon Jimmy McPhillips for the beautiful funeral Mass & for his spiritual help to our family during our bereavement. Thanks to Canon Noel McGahan, Canon Kevin Duffy and Fr. Pearse Mullin for concelebrating daddy’s funeral Mass. Sincere thanks to Tully – Danielle, Karen, Sinead , Maria , Helena and Rhona McNally for the beautiful uplifting music and song for his funeral Mass. Thanks to Shirley, Anne, Karen and the nursing team, Julie Clarke & staff, doctors and nurses of Maple Group Practice for the care and support shown to daddy over the years. Thanks to Oliver, Leo and Conor Swift (Swift & McCaffrey Undertakers) for the dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. Sincere thanks to Martin O’Reilly and staff of Donagh Clubhouse for the food after the funeral and to all the kind friends and relations who brought food for the family to our home and the funeral home. It was very much appreciated. Sincere thanks to everyone who lined the streets and roads for Daddy’s final journey and to Joan McGrath for her beautiful pipe music as daddy left Macknagh and arrived at Holy Cross. We, as a family are truly grateful to you all.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope this acknowledgement is accepted as a token of our heartfelt appreciation.
Our amazing father will be sadly missed by his family and friends in Lisnaskea & far beyond.
Dad’s MM Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 28th June at 11am in Holy Cross Church Lisnaskea and can be viewed live on https://www.churchservices.tv/lisnaskea.
