Tony died 11th August 2022. The Family of the late Tony Hughes would like to thank everyone that was there in our time of need. A very special thank you to the Community First Responders Armagh, paramedics, PSNI and Cheevers Funeral Directors. Thank you to Mrs O’Neill, Londonderry Arms Carnlough who was very helpful to Kevin and Gemma. We would like to thank everyone who sent messages of support and all social media messages, mass cards & sympathy cards and flowers and made charitable donations we are forever grateful. We took great comfort in your words and support. Thanks to everyone who attended Tony and Wendy’s house for the wake, attended the service and everyone who went out to Allistragh, thanks to the Quigley and extended Hughes family and friends for their support. A special thank you to Fr Peter McAnenly, Deacon Paul Mallon, Rev Malcolm Kingston for the Thanksgiving Service and Eilis Fox for her beautiful singing and accompanying music, and also Roger Duggan. Thank you to Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium for their professional service. Thank you to Toni’s Bar and Grill, Hughes Bar & Venue and Parklands for all their help, and everyone who provided food for the wake and funeral. A special Thank you to Armagh Scooter Club and all the other Scooter clubs and Bol Chumann Ard Mhacha for their guard of honour. As it is not possible to thank everyone personally, we trust that this acknowledgment be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.
Tony’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated at St Patricks Cathedral Armagh, on Saturday 10th September at 6:30pm. Light Refreshments will be served in Aonach Mhacha Irish Cultural Centre Armagh after mass, all welcome.
