Acknowledgement.
Tony Pearson.
Fintona, Co Tyrone.
Died 8th October 2023.

Tony’s wife Kathleen, children Keith, Donna, Declan, Brenda, Seamus, Leo and his extended family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us, through our recent sad bereavement. Tony was a dearly loved Husband, Father, Father in law, Grandfather, Brother, Brother in law, Uncle and Friend.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake house, brought food, or helped, sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages or flowers, lined the funeral route and to those who joined us at the Requiem Mass.
Sincere thanks to all of our relatives, friends and neighbours for all their support which has helped us throughout this difficult time in so many ways.
A special word of thanks to Fr Seán Mulligan for his spiritual support and the comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers and our singer Louise Coyle, who provided the beautiful uplifting music during the Mass.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out, and to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Tony’s final resting place. Our thanks also to McAtee’s Bar & Restaurant for the very welcome refreshments after the burial.
We would also like to thank the Principal of St Lawrence’s School, Mrs Rosaleen Donnelly and all the staff and children for providing a guard of honour. Special thanks also to Fintona Pearses GAA for their guard of honour, Tony would have loved this, and it meant a lot to us as a family.
And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all those who helped care for Tony in recent times; in the SWAH in A&E and especially those who cared for Tony in Ward 8, the Doctors and staff at Fintona Medical Practice, the Respiratory Team, and Una and staff of Cassidy’s Pharmacy, Fintona. We are very grateful for all your help and assistance.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Tony is loved and missed every day, may his gentle, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Friday 10th November at 7.30pm. Our Lady pray for him.
